Description:
This two-day symposium will feature lectures from international scientists presenting their latest research on the microbiome and female health.
In addition to the scientific talks, the program will include practical sessions designed to guide participants through the key steps and tools for analyzing microbiome and metabolomic data—from data quality control to statistical analysis.
Practical sessions on statistical analysis using real datasets will be conducted on participants’ own computers within the R environment, under the guidance of experts in the field.

Registration:
There is no registration fee and participation is free of charge. However, registration is mandatory and must be completed via the following LINK by July 10th.
Please indicate whether you want to attend lectures only or both the lectures and practical sessions. Kindly note that participation in the practical sessions requires that you:
i) have R installed in your computer;
ii) are able to run analyses in R and install the necessary packages;
iii) download the demo datasets in advance.
You will receive the list of required libraries and the link to download the data a few days before the symposium.
Participation is limited to a maximum of 150 attendees.
The symposium will take place at the University of Cagliari, Sardinia (Italy) – Room D in Building H1, at Cittadella Universitaria di Monserrato.

🚌 How to Reach the venue from Piazza Matteotti (City Centre)
🚍 Direct Bus (CTM 8 or 29 / QSA / UEX)
1. Walk to the CTM bus stops in Piazza Matteotti (in front of the train station).
2. Take one of these buses bound for Policlinico / Cittadella Universitaria:
o Linea 8 – frequent, direct route toward Cittadella Universitaria.
o Linea 29 – direct service toward Cittadella Universitaria via Policlinico.
o Other buses like QSA or University Express (UEX) also stop near the campus.
3. Get off at the “Cittadella Universitaria” stop — it’s very close to the campus buildings
(including Aula D).
4. Walk to Aula D (Blocco HD1) — usually 3–10 minutes depending on where you exit the bus stop.
